StreetCarts grows when neighbours tip carts they already trust. You do not need to be a vendor, a delivery rider, or a city official. You need a cart worth finding and a few honest details.
Before you open the form
Stand in the lane for a moment — or pull the place from memory — and note:
- What people actually call the cart (not only the dish).
- A landmark a stranger could use (temple gate, bus stop, society name).
- What makes it worth tipping: consistency, a classic, a story, a queue that keeps returning.
You do not need the vendor’s phone number. If you have permission to share a contact later, that can help — but the form is designed to start with discovery, not cold calling.
Step by step
- Open the Suggest a StreetCart form.
- Describe the cart in plain language. Named food helps (“vada pav”, “pani puri”, “kathi roll”) more than vague “snacks”.
- Add the area and landmark. City + neighbourhood beats a pin you are unsure about.
- Tell us why you tip it. One sentence is enough.
- Submit. We review suggestions as we expand — this is early-stage, not an instant live menu.
What happens next
We use suggestions to prioritise outreach and neighbourhood coverage. We will not publish fake ratings, invented hours, or live order counts. If we feature a cart, we aim to do it with care and consent.
If your area is not on our radar yet, you can also request your area so we know where demand is raising its hand.
Tips for a useful suggestion
- Be specific: “corner opposite the old post office” beats “near market”.
- Be kind: this is someone’s livelihood, not a roast.
- Be honest: if you have not visited in years, say so.
That is the whole product loop for now — neighbours tip, areas request, vendors join when ready. One form can put a cart on our map of attention.
